Irisalis build: stat priority, awakening and clone combo

Max Attack and Regen first. Then keep three clones up, because the Floral Rainbow Feather gives each one 30% damage amplification.

The short version

  1. Awaken Attack first and max it. Regen comes second and is also worth maxing, because Irisalis spends her fights spamming one skill.
  2. The third awakening priority is not settled. Some builds take HP third, and others put Break there because Irisalis is usually the team's main source of break.
  3. Irisalis can keep up to three clones, each lasting 30 seconds. Save her ultimate for when two clones are already out, so it brings the total to three.
  4. The Floral Rainbow Feather is her exclusive signature held item. Its core tier 2 effect gives her clones a damage and crit buff that includes 30% damage amplification.
  5. Clone beams have limited range. If you move too far from your clones, their shots miss.

Irisalis is a ranged DPS who fights alongside copies of herself. She attacks by spinning, her dash fires homing petals, and most of her damage comes from clones that stay on the field and fire with her. She is a strong Grass-type main damage dealer, and you can build her in that role instead of Leaf.

Her build follows from how the kit works. She burns through a lot of EP, she casts the same skill over and over, and her clones do the heavy lifting. So the stats, the held item and the rotation all aim at the same thing: keep clones up, keep casting, and keep everything close enough to hit.

This guide covers Capability Awakening order, the Floral Rainbow Feather, the clone rotation and a team to put her in.

Irisalis stats: Capability Awakening order

Attack comes first. It is the first stat to prioritise in Capability Awakening and you should max it.

Regen is second, and it is worth maxing as well. The reason is her playstyle. Irisalis spends most of a fight spamming one skill, and she has high EP consumption, so Regen is what keeps that loop running.

The third slot is not settled. One version of the build ranks HP third, as a lower priority. The other puts Break after Attack and Regen, because Irisalis tends to be a team's main source of break. If she is the one breaking enemies in your team, Break is the stronger case. Either way, it only matters once Attack and Regen are handled.

Crit is not on the list, and you do not need to chase it as hard. Irisalis already has a high base crit rate of 15%.

Irisalis Capability Awakening priority
  1. AttackFirst priority. Max it.
  2. RegenSecond priority and worth maxing. Her playstyle spams one skill over and over.
  3. HP or BreakThird place is unsettled. HP is ranked third, or Break goes here because she is a team's main source of break.

How her clones work

Everything in the kit leads back to clones. Irisalis can have up to three on the field, and each one lasts 30 seconds.

Her core skill is how most of them appear, though its name and exact behaviour are not settled. It is called Iris Shadow, which summons a clone that stays on the field for 30 seconds. It is also called Whirling Blossom, which spawns up to two shadow clones at a time when it hits, with the second clone tied to her signature weapon. Both versions agree on one thing: the skill has to connect. Irisalis summons a clone once her skill hits enemies inside its circle, so a whiffed cast gives you nothing.

Floral Descent is another clone source. It summons a phantom that slams the ground for area damage and leaves one clone behind, lasting 30 seconds.

Her other attacks build around them. Floral Storm is a spinning attack that can hit up to three targets at once, and her dash fires multiple homing petal projectiles. Bloom Cluster makes every active Iris Clone fire a Floral Gleam Beam at your target.

The catch is range. Clone beams have limited reach and miss if Irisalis moves too far from the clones. Because she is a ranged fighter, it is tempting to kite around. Do it near your clones, not away from them.

Dance Power and her EP problem

Irisalis has high EP consumption, and Dance Power is how her kit pays some of that back.

Each clone volley that hits grants one stack of Dance Power. At nine stacks, her next skill costs less energy. How much less is not settled: the reduction is given both as half the usual cost and as 50 EP less.

This ties the whole build together. More clones on the field means more volleys, which means faster stacks and cheaper casts. Clones that miss because you drifted out of range build nothing. Regen covers the rest of the gap, which is why it sits right behind Attack.

9

Dance Power stacks for a cheaper skill

Each clone volley that hits adds one stack, and at nine her next skill costs less energy, which eases her high EP consumption.

Floral Rainbow Feather

The Floral Rainbow Feather is Irisalis's exclusive signature held item, and it is built for the clone playstyle.

It boosts her summoned clones. Its core tier 2 effect grants them a damage and crit buff that includes 30% damage amplification, so each clone deals 30% more damage. The bonus is also described as applying to Irisalis herself.

Since clones carry most of her damage, this buff counts for more the more of them you have out. It is one more reason to keep the field full rather than letting clones expire.

30%

Clone damage amplification

The signature item's core tier 2 effect makes each clone deal 30% more damage, so it is a big boost for a clone build.

Irisalis rotation

The basic loop is short: create a clone, then spam dash with Whirling Blossom Rain. The dash sends out homing petals, and Whirling Blossom Rain is the skill you will be pressing most. That repetition is why Regen matters so much.

Bloom Cluster is the payoff, but what triggers it is not settled. It is given both as her dash ability and as landing the final hit of a basic attack combo or casting Whirling Blossom Rain. Both versions fit inside the loop above, so dashing and casting Whirling Blossom Rain near your clones should keep the beams firing.

Hold the ultimate. It is best used once two clones are already out, so it brings the total to three, the most she can have. Firing it with an empty field wastes the cap.

Put together:

1. Land your core skill on enemies inside its circle to summon a clone. 2. Spam dash with Whirling Blossom Rain, staying close to your clones. 3. Once two clones are out, use the ultimate to reach three. 4. Keep the loop going and let Dance Power stacks make your next skill cheaper. 5. Refresh clones before their 30 seconds run out.

Team and where she fits

A recommended grass team is Irisalis, Turbo, Leafy and Somni Wing.

Melabloom is a weaker partner. Both rely on ultimate charge, so the synergy is limited.

Irisalis deals high damage and is effective in Hollow (Holo) Battle Interlink. She also has a safety net: when she is defeated in combat, she turns back into a flower that blooms again and restores her vitality. This can trigger once every 180 seconds, so it covers one mistake rather than a careless fight.

Where to start

Max Attack, then Regen. Pick HP or Break third, depending on whether she is your team's breaker. Equip the Floral Rainbow Feather and play to keep three clones up and stay in their beam range. Save the ultimate for when two clones are already out.
