Egg Heist backpack: inventory slots, weight and what to carry
Carry 72 kg and you can still move; at 73 kg you are stuck. What fills your Egg Heist backpack, what to leave behind, and how to keep it when a run goes wrong.
The short version
- The Egg Heist carry weight cap is 72 kg. From 73 kg you are immobilized, and going over the cap forces you to drop an item.
- Weight costs you before you hit the cap: heavy loads lower movement speed and slow stamina recovery, but traveling or extracting in an egg ignores weight limits.
- Your backpack's quality and type set how many slots it has, and bigger backpacks are bought from the Equip tab of the Egg Heist shop.
- Take gold-tier items and talent materials. Purple loot is generally not worth the space, and blue or below is not worth carrying out at all.
- A useful rule of thumb is to take only loot worth more than about 4,000 in selling value, or at least about 1,000 coins per kilogram.
Aniimo's Egg Heist gives you two limits at once. Your backpack has a strictly limited number of inventory slots, and everything in it has a weight in kilograms. Whichever one you hit first decides what comes home with you.
This guide covers both limits: the weight cap and what it does to your movement, how backpack tiers change your slot count, and which loot is actually worth carrying. It ends with how to make sure a full bag survives the run.
The 72 kg weight cap
The Egg Heist carry weight cap is 72 kg. Carry more than that and you are immobilized, starting from 73 kg. Going over the cap forces you to drop an item, so you will never stay stuck for long, but you lose the choice of what goes.
Weight hurts you well before the cap. Heavy loads lower your movement speed, and carried weight lowers stamina recovery. Dropping heavy items lets your stamina recover faster, which is worth remembering when you need to run.
The exception is the egg. Traveling or extracting in an egg is not subject to weight limits, so filling up to the cap with the heaviest items costs you no mobility while you are moving that way.

Backpack tiers and inventory slots
Valuables you gather go into your backpack, and its inventory space is strictly limited. The quality and type of the backpack set how many slots it has, so a bigger loadout carries more loot out of a run.
Backpacks are sold in the Equip tab of the Egg Heist shop, next to defense units and attack amplifiers. You pay with Eggshell coins, the same currency that goes into the Egg Heist talent tree, so an expanded backpack competes with your talents and your other gear for the same money.
What loot is worth carrying
With slots and kilograms both limited, the question is never whether something has value. It is whether it has enough value for the space and weight it takes.
A common rule of thumb: take only loot worth more than about 4,000 in selling value, or at least about 1,000 coins per kilogram. The second half matters because a light item with a modest price can earn its place, while a heavy one at the same price may not.
By quality, gold-tier items and talent materials are the loot worth taking. Purple loot is generally not worth inventory space, and gold items should come first. Lower-tier loot, generally blue quality or below, is not worth carrying out at all. That is especially true in Chaos Mode, where gold-tier loot is plentiful enough to fill your inventory by itself. Filling the backpack with everything you find is the mistake to avoid.
The rest of your loadout: amplifiers and keys
The attack amplifier, also called the attack module, is what lets you deal damage in Egg Heist, and it increases the damage you deal. It has 100 durability, which lasts about 100 ability uses before it breaks. Each offensive ability, such as a black hole or control skill, costs one durability, so heavy skill use drains it quickly and it can run out partway through a run.
Bringing one or two Gilded (golden) Keys into each Egg Heist run is also recommended.

Keeping what you carry
A full backpack is only worth something if it gets out. Fainting, dying or failing to extract, Chaos mode included, permanently loses the entire backpack and its loot, along with any equipped Heist gear that protection items do not cover. The full rules are in our Operation: Egg Heist guide.
The safe is your insurance. Items stored in the Egg Heist safe are kept even when you or your whole team faint, so essential items belong there rather than in the backpack.
One last step catches people out. Loot you extract stays in the backpack afterwards and has to be moved to your inventory by hand.
Where to start
Buy the biggest backpack you can justify, carry gold-tier items and talent materials, and stay at or under 72 kg. Leave purple and blue loot where it lies, keep an eye on your amplifier's durability, put the essentials in the safe, and move your loot out of the backpack once you are home.
